Family I is an elegant figurative bronze sculpture portraying parents and a babe in arms by Nando Kallweit.

There is an intimacy to the piece that celebrates the shared joy and protective cocoon that defines parents’ reaction to their first child.

Nando handcrafts a wax model then creates a mould and pours his molten bronze into the cavity.

Family I is produced in an edition of 50 pieces. Nando hammers his mark into the base as well as stamping the edition number.
