Maty is inspired by the elongated, elegant postures of yoga. A figurative bronze of the female form by sculptor Nando Kallweit.

Modelled on modern youthful postures but with a nod to the importance of heritage through the stylised Egyptian-influenced head.

Nando carved the marque for the body from a piece of oak using a small chain saw. The marque is then used to make the cavity for a sand and clay cast bronze. The figure therefore retains the cut marks and wood grain of the original carving and give it a very organic feel.

Nando hammers his mark into the base as well as the edition number.
